This section contains images selected from four different trips to Europe, ranging in length from six weeks to one full year.  The most visited countries were Germany (where I knew lots of people) and Sweden (where I completed my masters degree at Uppsala University, the ninth oldest university in the world).  I was in Berlin in 1990, when the Wall was coming down and the day the border opened up.  I was in Sweden when the Chernobyl fallout was raining down.
