Elderberry Pie

makes around 2 pies

(from my grandmother)

  • 2½ cups elderberries
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • stem and wash berries, fill pie shell
  • mix dry ingredients, sprinkle over berries
  • bake at 425 (°F) for 10 minutes
  • then at 350 (°F) for 30 minutes more
